You guys, I’m so excited about this find.
We went to Trader Joes earlier this week and I was perusing the Frozen area and came across mini packets of acai puree. No sugar added! Hard to find without tons of sugar because of a slightly bitter taste.
By itself acai tastes semi unsweet, at least to me, but in a smoothie you are filling it with antioxidant and SuperFood power and the other fruit give the smoothie its sweetness.
We make smoothies often. It’s a great way to get fruits and veggies in early (especially in your little ones). It starts your day out with such great nutritional power.
Today we chose carrots, cucumbers, strawberries, frozen peaches, pineapple, pineapple juice, orange juice, and one packet of acai puree. My son is currently in the living room gulping it down. Little does he know he’s gotten about 3 servings of fruits and vegetables to start his day. The best part is that breakfast took 4 minutes and I know I’m giving his growing body wonderful nutrition!
